Woven Worlds: Thinking Through Cosmologies

This is one of four events within a lecture series, hosted by the CAS Research Focus New Cosmology.
The lecture, chaired by Philipp Schorch, will feature two CAS Fellows: Vilsoni Hereniko, Professor at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and Professor Michela Massimi, Professor of Philosophy of Science at the University of Edinburgh

Vilsoni Hereniko is Professor at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa. His research, teaching, and creative work explore issues related to climate change, indigenous storytelling, art and cultural identity, and the politics of representation in all kinds of media. He is an award-winning filmmaker and playwright as well as a screenwriter and director

Vilsoni Hereniko, affiliated team member of Prof. Philipp Schorch's ERC group, will be visiting LMU as a CAS fellow from June 9 to August 11
