Dissertation: The entanglements of Kichwa Healing Practices with Other-Than-Human Environments
Supervisor:
Prof. Dr. Eveline Dürr (LMU)

Short biography: I completed my BA in social and cultural anthropology at the University of Heidelberg and my MA in social and cultural anthropology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (LMU), during which I also took part in the Environmental Studies Certificate Program at the Rachel Carson Center. For my Ph.D. research, I will be participating in the Reinhart Koselleck Project 'Planetary Healing as Transformative Process' under the supervision of Professor Eveline Dürr. During this time, I plan to conduct research in the Ecuadorian Oriente and closely collaborate with Kichwa-speaking healers in the Province of Napo. Parallel to a critical examination of universalist 'One-World' approaches to health, such as One Health and Planetary Health, I am interested in tracing the entanglements of healing practices with land relations and more-than-human entities.
